Hippo Point and Dodo's tower are located on Nderit Estate nestled amongst the yellow fever trees on the shores of Lake Naivasha and Olodien Bay.

Hippo Point, an early settler home built in a Tudor style on a pristine wildlife sanctuary, provides the perfect location to relax in the peace and serenity of the Park Grounds of Hippo Point.  A magnificent 1930's Elizabethan style house, it remains a relic of Africa's colonial past.  Originally built in 1933 it was lovingly restored in 1998 by Dodo Cunningham-Reid to luxurious standards, fully reflecting the English romantic character of the period.

Dodo's Tower at Hippo Point is an architect's dream project, overlooking the sea of flamingoes that line the shores of Olodien Bay. This exceptionally well built and finished home offers first class service to cater for all your needs.

A traditional English garden of scented roses and lush lawns contrasts sharply with the yellowish dusty tree trunks of the surrounding acacias amongst which can be found the resident buffalo, giraffe, hippo, zebra and gazelle.

Eight double bedrooms and one single - with two sections at the end ideal for children - include the luxury of Russian bed linen and solar powered bath tubs.  You will find it hard to leave this perfect base with its secluded swimming pool and open spa for invigorating body treatments together with its team of dedicated staff.

The food at Hippo Point is all organic and homegrown with a strong leaning towards healthy eating prepared in an Italian style.  Guests are welcome to involve themselves in our kitchen.
